The Local Area Employment Service provides a range of quality professional services to unemployed jobseekers to help them find suitable employment, training, or self-employment. We also provide services to employers, helping with recruitment, upskilling and access to employer incentives. Our services are tailored to the needs of each individual client without cost to the employer or jobseeker.

The Goal 1 team provides supports to Local Community Groups and Community Based Social Enterprises based in Waterford City and County, to assist with issues such as governance, training, and sustainability.

Members of the SICAP Goal 2 Team

The Goal 2 team provides supports to individuals aged 15 and over that are not in full time education, training, or employment. We can assist you in accessing education and lifelong learning opportunities, employment training and start your own business mentoring. We also work with schools and voluntary providers to support children to stay in education.

The TUS Team provides short-term quality and suitable working opportunities in community and voluntary organisations for people that are unemployed.

The Mukisa Programme creates opportunities and supports the integration of the Asylum Seeker and Refugee Community. We build the capacity of individuals and communities through training and learning opportunities.
